Advice & Guidance AI.

Following the successful release of our AI-powered assistant Consultpilot AI, Consultmed has announced the release of Advice & Guidance AI which leverages Microsoft Enterprise’s OpenAI technology to help healthcare organisations to enhance triage, referral and care pathways.

This new capability provides healthcare providers with a tool that presents relevant evidence-based clinical guidelines and policies based on the presenting complaint and reason for referral, allowing them to sift through a growing expanse of guidelines at a touch of a button. The feature can be used on the Consultmed platform, or be utilised as a standalone product.

Advice & Guidance AI offers a promising solution to the growing burden and expectation for GPs and other health care providers to familiarise themselves with local hospital guidelines, HealthPathways, and now state-wide criteria. Furthermore, it is common that when these specific requirements are not met, referrals are returned with minimal information provided, leading to delays in often urgent patient care.

Associate Professor Vikram Palit, CEO of Consultmed and a paediatric respiratory specialist, stated, “The AI’s database is powered by publicly available and clinically approved guidelines. Additionally, it allows individual organisations to customize the database with their own documents.” He emphasised the reliability of the database, highlighting that it contains only approved documents and does not pull data from Google or the broader internet.
